Canadien forward Quincy Guerrier committed to Syracuse on Wednesday evening according to his twitter account.
The 6’7, 190 pound forward out of Quebec City, QC is currently ranked #48 by 247sports. In the composite he shows up at 117 which is way too low. This kid a legit player, the crown jewel for the Orange 2019 class that now includes two 4* kids in Guerrier and Brycen Goodine. Joe Girard III is a combo guard who averaged 50 ppg as a junior last year and owns every NY State scoring record. John Bol Ajak is a 6’10 project big that Boeheim will probably turn into an above average shot blocker.
The 2019 Syracuse class now ranks 18th in the country and 4th in the ACC. That ranking could rise even higher if they land defensive dynamo Akok Akok, who just officially visited the Orange a couple weekends ago. They are also hosting Qudus Wahab next weekend
Back to Guerrier, he is planning on enrolling for the spring semester this year and redshirting. Giving him additional time with the program. Orange fans have to love this kid already.
He is a good shooting, high energy swing man that can also finish at the rim. I cannot say enough good things about this prospect and about this class.
